Travel has been one of my greatest musical inspirations and, in fact, I became very passionate about traveling as much as possible, collecting hand drums from many of my destinations. A ceramic djembe from the market bazaar of Cairo, Egypt. A popping little hand drum I purchased from a team of grandparent fiddle and singer with their dancing grandchildren in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The heavy thud of a Dangriga conga of Belize. I even bought a melodica air piano from a flea market in Paris, France!
As a musician, I have found so endless inspiration from travel and maybe, more importantly, I came to the knowledge that Western Music is not as globally important as I had previously thought!
